IMD Forecasts favourable conditions for further advance of Southwest monsoon over rest of country –

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast favourable conditions for further advance of Southwest monsoon over rest of the country during the next 2 to 3 days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall activity over North West, Central, East and North East India is expected during the next 7 days.
 
These weather conditions will prevail over Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe, Madhya Maharashtra and Uttarakhand today. The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, West Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 2 to 3 days.
 
These conditions will also remain over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim till the 3rd of next month.
