The Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) has improved its position in the QS World University Rankings 2026, by securing a global rank of 664. This marks a significant rise from last year’s position in 681-690 band. An official release stated that, IIT-H secured a place in the top 10 per cent of global institutions in citations per faculty.IIT-H Director Prof B S Murty said the improvement particularly reflected the institute’s focus on impactful and interdisciplinary research, which was gaining worldwide recognition.
