The Israel Defense Forces on Monday confirmed top Hamas leader in Lebanon Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin was killed during an airstrike in Tyre city.

Sherif was responsible for coordinating Hamas terror activities in Lebanon with Hezbollah operatives, as well as Hamas efforts in Lebanon to recruit operatives and acquire weapons, IDF said on X.

Fateh Sherif was also an accredited @UNRWA member, and was the head of the UNRWA Teachers Union in Lebanon, the post said.

Meanwhile, at least three Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) members died in an airstrike conducted by Israel in Beiruts Kola region on Monday.

The strike near the Cola Bridge, a major intersection in the city, is the first time a location within the Lebanese capitals city limits has been hit in the current war, reported CNN.

PFLP said those killed in the attack were identified as Mohammed Abed Al-Al, a member of its political bureau and head of the military-security department, Imad Odeh, a member of its military department and military command in Lebanon, and Abdul Rahman Abed Al-Al.

The Israeli military on Sunday said another top leader of the Iran-backed armed outfit Hezbollah group has been eliminated.

IDF said it had eliminated Hezbollahs Preventative Security Unit Commander Nabil Qaouk.

He was eliminated during an airstrike in Beirut.

IDF posted on X: ELIMINATED: The Commander of Hezbollahs Preventative Security Unit and a member of their Executive Council, Nabil Qaouk, was eliminated in a precise IDF strike.

Qaouk was close to Hezbollahs senior commanders and was directly engaged in terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens. He joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and was regarded as an important source of expertise in his field, having served as the Deputy Commander of the southern region on the Operational Council, Commander of the southern region and Deputy Commander of the Operational Council, it said.

The IDF said it will continue to strike and eliminate the commanders within the Hezbollah terrorist organization and will act against anyone who threatens the citizens of the State of Israel.

Israel, earlier confirmed Hassan Nasrallah, the chief of Iran-backed Hezbollah militia group, was killed during an airstrike in Beirut.

The conflict between IDF and Hezbollah has intensified in recent times.

According to media reports, the Israeli airstrikes on the terror group this week left over 700 people dead in Lebanon.
