In Hockey, India will take on Italy in their final pool B match of the FIH Women’s Olympic qualifiers in Ranchi today.
The match will begin at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time. India got off to a poor start in the tournament with a 1-Nil loss to the United States, but they bounced back well to beat New Zealand 3-1 in their second game to ensure that they are well in the hunt for a semifinal spot, from where the top three teams will make it to the Paris Olympics later this year. The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the semifinals.
The USA sits atop Pool B with 6 points from 2 games. India and New Zealand both have three points with a win and a loss each.
