Embassy of India in Kathmandu organised Hindi Sahitya Utsav. Hindi-speaking enthusiasts and literates gathered to discuss great Hindi writers and poets like Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Mahadevi Verma, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Atal Bihari Vajpai and others.
Nepali students from various schools recited Hindi poetries in the event. According to 2021 Nepal census, 0.34% of People speak Hindi as their Mother tongue mostly in Terai region due to proximity.
