Continuous rain in Madhya Pradesh has started affecting normal life. Jabalpur, Mandla, Shahdol and Dindori in the state have been most affected. 
 
Akashvani correspondent reports that due to continuous heavy rainfall, nine gates of Bargi Dam in Jabalpur have been opened, due to which the water level of the Narmada River is continuously rising. The administration has issued an alert for low-lying areas. Schools in Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Dindori districts have been closed as a precautionary measure. In the Narmadapuram district, Bankhedi has recorded more than 7 inches of rainfall within 24 hours. Meanwhile, several houses in Shahdol have been submerged, and road connectivity has been disrupted at various locations in Dindori. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rainfall today in Jabalpur, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, and Damoh districts. The forecast also predicts widespread rain across all districts of Madhya Pradesh for the next four days.
