After climbing the peak of Kanchenjunga at a height of 8586 m, the Har Shikhar Tiranga mission launched by a team of the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports has successfully culminated. Director of NIMAS and Team leader of the Kanchenjunga expedition, Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal, informed that a five-member team hoisted the Indian national flag, the Tiranga, on the highest peak of every state across India.

A five-member team of Col R S Jamwal, Naib Subedar Tsewang Chosgail, NB Sub Nehpal Singh, Havaldar Kewal and Havaldar Sushil Kumar completed the Kanchenjunga expedition, overcoming blizzards and challenges coming in the path of one of the toughest peaks to climb in India.

The mission was also aligned to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Meri Maati Mera Desh, when a team collected soil from the mountains of all 28 Indian states. Har Shikhar Tiranga is the first-ever expedition in India in which a team climbed the highest points of all 28 Indian states, covering 30,000 km in one year. During the mission, more than 1000 adventure enthusiasts participated in this mission across India, giving the movement a national colour.
