
In a spectacular display of lights and colors, the Tripura Sundari temple is all set to celebrate Diwali with fervor and grandeur. The temple and its premises are undergoing final touches as the countdown begins for the auspicious festival.
Preparations include elaborate lighting, decorations, and the setup of thousands of food stalls, including the famous ‘peda’ counters, creating a festive atmosphere that is ready to welcome lakhs of devotees from far and wide. The three-day-long fair, part of the Diwali festivities, kicks off with an opening ceremony on November 12.
The inaugural ceremony will witness the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Biplab Kumar Deb, several cabinet ministers, TTAADC members, and administrative officials. Notably, approximately 19 dignified guests, including Cabinet Ministers, MPs of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, and former Deputy Chief Minister, will attend the ceremony, marking a significant occasion.
Matabari MLA Abhishek Deb Roy will preside over the function, adding a local touch to the festivities. This marks the first time such a large number of dignitaries will grace the inaugural ceremony, emphasizing the significance of the event.
In anticipation of the festival and VVIP movements, extensive security arrangements have been put in place, and surveillance has been heightened to ensure a safe and joyous celebration for all.
