The state government is working for the welfare of people of all sections. Facilities of government schemes and services are being catered to the people, enunciated Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury after inaugurating Jirania Block Level Lavarthi Sanmelan & Kaushal Mela organized at Ranirgaon School ground of Jirania sub-division yesterday. He said, the main objective behind the Block Level Lavarthi Sanmelan is to interact with the beneficiaries of different Panchayat and ADC villages who have received the facilities of different government schemes so that in the coming days, the government would be more inspired to provide more of government assistance.
The ICA Minister said, the government is committed to providing good governance to all. The government is reaching out to the public. The public now need not have to go to the government. DM & Collector Debapriya Bardhan in his welcome speech said, these kind of Sanmelan are being organized in every block so as to get feedback and to generate awareness among the people about government schemes. Vice Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath also spoke on the occasion. SDM Santiranjan Chakma, BDO Paritosh Debbarma, Jirania BAC Chairperson Subhamani Debbarma and social activist Gouranga Bhowmik were also present there. Assistance for pig rearing has been provided to 10 beneficiaries by ARDD at the end of the programme. An Autorickshaw and an ice box were handed over to a fish farmer by the Fisheries department. Loan of 48 lakh rupees was given to 3 SHGs. Tricycles were handed over to three persons by the Education department. Different agri items were handed over to an SHG and 2 farmers. 18 exhibition stalls were opened by 14 departments in the Block-Level Lavarthi Sanmelan.
