The government will work sincerely for the overall development of people from all sections of the society including tribal welfare.

The second BJP-IPFT government will work with the aim of achieving further development of tribal people and resolving their problems. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manika Saha today met the press in his residence today. In the press meet, he said, importance will be given to development of health, education, agriculture and sports sector besides establishing law and order in the state. It is to be noted that the Chief Minister had met the press after the first cabinet meeting of the newly formed cabinet members at the Secretariat today.

  The Chief Minister in the press meet said, few self-centered people, miscreants purposely create violent environment in the state. The state government will fight against such situations strictly. The state government is determined to maintain law and order in the state. He said, the people of the state have set their faith in the present government for the second time. The prime responsibility of the government is to deliver the fruits of development till the last person of the state paying respect to their faith. He said, the government will work following the guidance of the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister informed, MLA Binoy Bhushan Das has been appointed as Protem Speaker of the cabinet in the meeting today. Besides, bringing up Vote-on-account in the upcoming legislative assembly was also discussed in the meeting, he informed. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manika Saha conveyed his gratitude to the people of the state for establishing BJP-IPFT government for the second time. The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to the officers of different levels in police administration, workers and concerned everyone for completing the election process in peaceful.

Dr Saha in the meantime left for New Delhi where he will meet President Droupadi Murmu on Friday and discuss various state-related affairs, officials said here on Thursday.

In his maiden visit to Delhi after becoming the Chief Minister for the second time, Saha is also likely to meet Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar as well as a few Central ministers.

After holding the first cabinet meeting, Dr Saha, who along with eight other cabinet ministers took oath on Wednesday, left from Kolkata towards Delhi.
