Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha of Tripura recently announced that the Tripura Dental College will commence classes in the current year. Additionally, the state government is planning to establish a Homeopathic College and an Ayurvedic College in Tripura. The Chief Minister made these statements during a Blood Donation and Rabindra-Nazrul birth anniversary program organized by the Jubasamaj Club in the Joynagar area.

During his speech, the Chief Minister praised the role of local clubs in the state, emphasizing their contribution to society through various service-oriented programs. He highlighted how clubs in Tripura have transformed, now organizing blood donation camps, sports and cultural activities, and actively participating in eradicating drug-related issues and addressing domestic problems in their respective areas. The Chief Minister recognized the clubs’ noble initiatives and acknowledged their positive impact on society.

Dr. Saha urged the clubs to take further initiatives and extend support to the public through various programs related to public welfare. He appreciated the efforts of the Jubasamaj Club and emphasized the importance of collective action in making Tripura drug-free and a peaceful place to live.

In recognition of the voluntary blood donors, Dr. Saha stated that there is no greater donation than blood donation. He highlighted the significance of blood donation, mentioning that one donor’s blood can save the lives of three to four patients. Currently, Tripura has 12 public and 2 private blood banks, which have been able to meet the demand for approximately 42,000 units of blood in the state due to adequate donations.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister unveiled a plaque and laid the foundation stone for the pond renovation and beautification project in the Jubasamaj Club area. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder announced that a total of Rs 30 lakh has been sanctioned for this project.

The program was attended by club authorities, including the Jubasamaj Club secretary Subrata Sen, among others.
