Keeping in mind the next assembly elections and also to meet the vacuum in various departments especially in PWD, Health, ICA the state government the state government embarked upon a massive recruitment drive.
“The council of ministers which met on Tuesday resolved to appoint 200 Junior Engineers under PWD and 100 staff nurses” said, ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury. The decision has been taken on Tuesday in the cabinet meeting.
“The cabinet has approved recruitment of 200 Junior Engineers. Among them 100 would be of Degree level and 100 of Diploma level. They will be engaged through TPSC in the PWD in Grade-5(A) and in Grade-5(B) of Tripura Engineers Service (TES). The appointments will be done in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical,” the minister said.
The cabinet also gave a go ahead for recruitment of 100 Staff Nurses under the Health and Family Welfare department. They will be appointed on fixed pay basis.
Apart from that under the Health and Family Welfare department as many as 22 posts of Pharmacists (Homeopathy), 25 posts of Pharmacists (Ayurvedic) and 39 posts of Laboratory Technicians (Blood) would also be filled up. Government would soon constitute a board for the purpose.
Chowdhury said, the council of ministers also gave the green signal for creation of 90 promotional posts for Multipurpose Supervisors (Male and Female) under the Health department.
Several other positions would also be created which included 12 posts for Lower Division Clerk (Fixed Pay, Group-C) under the Directorate of Audit, Finance department.
Under the Directorate of ICA, 16 posts have been created- that included four Assistant Directors (promotional), six Senior Information Officers (promotional) and six Reporters (direct post)..
The minister said, the cabinet also approved the proposal for filling up of four Assistant Professors in different disciplines in the Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (RIPSAT).
Under the Health department, 25 supernumerary promotional posts of driver (Group-C) would also be filled up by ad-hoc promotion.
