The government has debunked a video circulating on social media claiming that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has promoted an investment scheme promising easy monetary benefits. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) informed that the video is fake and has been created using Artificial Intelligence.
The Unit added that the Finance Minister has not endorsed any such investment scheme or platform. PIB said that fraudsters frequently use AI-generated content and false promises of extraordinary returns to deceive the public. It further urged the citizens to always verify such claims through official sources before investing money or sharing their personal or financial information.
