Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on completion of 15 days of Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, today interacted with the beneficiaries through video conference. This videoconferencing programme was live telecast at Laxmipur village under Mandwi Block.

Chief minister Dr. Manik Saha was present there as a guest. As part of today’s programme Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated some projects like increasing number of Jan Aushadhi Centres from 10,000 to 25,000 in the country, opening of the 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Centre in Deoghar, and launch of Women Farmers Drone Centre to support the women and SHGs in their livelihood activities.

Other guests present there included MLA Ratan Chakraborty, chairman of Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti Biswajit Shil, chairman of Mandwi BAC Dhirendra Debbarma, Secretary Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, ADM of West district Subhash Chandra Saha, and DSP Kiran Kumar K.

Addressing the programme Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed, under Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra till now mobile publicity vans have reached out to 12,000 villages of the country. As a result 30 lakh people will be receiving benefits of government schemes.

At the programme Dr. Saha said, delivering benefits of development schemes to the last person of the society is a priority area of the government. To achieve this target people of all strata have to work together. He said, Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been launched to deliver benefits and services of government schemes to those who are yet to receive them.

Simultaneously from November 15 Prati Ghare Sushason 2.0 has been launched to give out benefits of different government schemes. To achieve 100 per cent success in both the programmes members of the State Council of Ministers have been entrusted with particular districts to oversee the progress. At the programme secretary Dr. P.K. Chakraborty administered oath to all those present there.

Besides, guests including chief minister, handed over loan cheque to three SHGs of TRLM, Poshan kits to pregnant women, free gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana, power weedier from the department of agriculture and farmers welfare, ice box and motor cycle from fisheries department to the beneficiaries.

In addition, on behalf of forest department saplings of different cash crops were handed over to the beneficiaries. It is worth mentioning here that 12 exhibition stalls were also opened on behalf of various departments. PRESS RELEASE
