Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal has said that the government will ensure that no person remains homeless in Ladakh. The Minister said a survey of all homeless people will be conducted in the Union Territory to avail benefits of PM Awas Yojana.
Mr. Manohar Lal reviewed the working of the power and housing departments of the Union Territory of Ladakh at Leh today. The Minister emphasized that Ladakh has huge potential for the development of solar power. He informed that work is in progress for setting up a 13 Gigawatt solar power plant in Ladakh.
During the meeting, the Minister was given a detailed overview of the working of the concerned departments and was apprised of their achievements by the concerned officials.
