The movie will soon face a challenge from Shah Rukh Khans upcoming Jawan which will release next month.

The movie is directed and produced by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar.

A sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film.

In Gadar 2, Tara Singh returns to Pakistan in order to rescue his imprisoned son during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
