French President Emmanuel Macron has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India on the country’s 79th Independence Day. In his message, Mr. Macron expressed hope that the strategic partnership between both countries will continue to deepen towards 2047 and beyond. The French President said, he fondly recalls welcoming his friend Mr. Modi to France in February, and looks forward to further deepen the strategic partnership. Last month, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noel Barrot had highlighted that France and India are united by trust and driven by shared ambition.
