Must Read

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have offloaded Indian equities worth 17,131 crore rupees in September so far. According to the latest depository data, out of the total net outflows, 25,682 crore rupees were withdrawn through sales on stock exchanges, as geopolitical uncertainty, elevated US bond yields, and crude oil prices weighed on investors’ risk appetite. However, the trend of FPI investment through the primary market has continued this month, with FPIs infusing 8,551 crore rupees in the primary market in September so far.
Meanwhile, Foreign investors also extended their selling to the debt market during the period under review. In September so far, outflows from the debt securities through the Fully Accessible Route (FAR) stood at 7,385 crore rupees. FPIs have withdrawn 3,021 crore rupees through the Voluntary Retention Route (VRR) and 1,889 crore rupees through the General Limit route.
