FPIs Turn Net Sellers in Indian Equities in July, Pull Out Rs 6,503 Crore

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have turned net sellers in Indian equities so far in July, pulling out 6,503 crore rupees, according to depositories data. This marks a reversal after three straight months of positive inflows, with FPIs having invested 14,590 crore rupees in June, 19,860 crore rupees in May and 4,223 crore rupees in April.
       
However, on the debt side, foreign investors have remained active – pumping in 6035 crore rupees in Fully Accessible Route (FAR ) of Debt, 1,705 crore rupees through the Voluntary Retention Route (VRR) and 494 crore rupees under the general debt limit so far this month.
