FPIs Invest ₹12,921 Crore in Indian Equities in August

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have remained net buyers of Indian equities during the first week of August. According to the latest depository data, FPIs have invested Rs 12, 921 crore in the domestic stock market so far this month. The buying momentum, which gathered pace in July, has continued into August, supported by resilient domestic fundamentals and strong quarterly earnings reports.
 

Meanwhile, the debt market has seen a mixed trend in flows. So far in August, Foreign Portfolio Investors have invested 622 crore rupees in debt securities through the General Limit route. However, the Fully Accessible and Voluntary Retention Routes have witnessed outflows of over Rs 350 crore during the period under review.
