Campaigning for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council elections came to an end this evening, with political parties wrapping up their high-pitched campaigns.
Polling for the 28 seats of the ADC will be held on the 12th of April from 7 AM to 4 PM. A total of 173 candidates are in the fray. According to official data, the total number of voters stands at over 962,000.
Meanwhile, around 97% voter turnout was recorded in postal ballots during the two days of voting held on 7th and 8th April. The counting of votes is scheduled to take place on the 17th of April.
