In Rajasthan, the BJP is currently leading in 115 seats, while the Congress is only ahead in 70 seats, according to the Election Commission of India.

As of now, the saffron party is leading in the election trends in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Whereas, the Congress is likely to secure a comfortable victory in Telangana.

Recently, a mysterious Red Diary triggered controversy in Rajasthan, with dismissed Rajasthan minister, Rajendra Gudha, asserting that he obtained the red diary from the home of Congress leader Dharmendra Rathore during an Income Tax raid in 2020.

Gudha claimed that this action was purportedly carried out under the instructions of Chief Minister Gehlot.

A total of 1862 candidates were in the fray in the Rajasthan elections, with the voter count reaching 5,25,38,105. Among them are 1,70,99,334 electorates were aged 18-30, and within this demographic, 22,61,008 constitute new voters in the 18-19 age range.

The BJP fielded 59 MLAs, including defected Congress MLA Girraj Singh Malinga, along with six Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha members.

The Congress fielded 97 MLAs, comprising seven independents and one from the BJPShobharani Kushwah, who was expelled from the saffron party last year.

To form government in Rajasthan, a party or coalition should reach a majority mark of 100.

The elections in the Karanpur constituency were postponed due to the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
