This comes amid major financial uncertainty since the worlds richest man bought the social media site and took over as its CEO.
Users willing to experience the ad-free version of Twitter can do so by opting for a higher-priced subscription.

This would be a big shift in Twitters business model as the company has, so far, used targeted advertisement to generate revenues.
After Musk fired about half of the companys 7,500-strong workforce late last year, advertisers have been wary of associating with Twitter.
Massive job cuts have raised concerns that the company could be too short-staffed to carry out content moderation and spooking governments and advertisers.
