Kolkata/IBNS: Tollywood actress and Trinamool Congress MP Nussrat Jahan is once again back in headlines with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) receiving a complaint against her in connection with an alleged fraud related to a shady financial entity.
According to reports, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has filed a complaint against Jahan at EDs Salt Lake office.
The complaint stated that the financial entity received around Rs 6,00,000 from each of the duped investors and promised them residential flats at reasonable rates within the span of four years, said reports.
Nussrat, who is an MP from the Bashirhat constituency in Bengal, is reportedly an erstwhile director of the financial entity.
This is a clear case of financial scam. A case was filed earlier in the court in the matter. The court even asked the Trinamool Congress MP to be present before it, which she defied. So we are compelled to approach the ED in the matter, the BJP leader was quoted as saying by TOI.
There has been no response from the actress on the matter yet.
