EAM Jaishankar Highlights Atmanirbharta as Key to India’s Resilience and Growth at Tourism Faith Conclave

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today stressed that Atmanirbharta is the mindset to deal with global turbulence as the world is living in a volatile and uncertain era. Dr Jaishankar emphasised that Atmanirbharta is also the basis to strengthen India’s self-confidence, increase resilience, and to lay the foundation for Viksit Bharat. Speaking at Tourism Faith Conclave in Delhi, the Minister stated that India is a civilizational state, and a society that has withstood the test of time and nurtured its culture, traditions, and heritage.
 
He highlighted that India’s real strengths have been its people and their self-belief. The External Affairs Minister noted that those nations with a robust domestic demand have fared better and will continue to do so. He said a strong tourism is of immense value. He added that the practice of e-visas has made visiting India more pleasant. He said airports have doubled in the last decade and railways have undergone a sea change.
