Dinesh Lal Yadav-starrer ‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on October 1, 2026, bringing back Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane and the quirky world of Dhadakpur with bigger challenges, emotional moments, small-town charm and plenty of comedy.
Dinesh Lal Yadav-starrer ‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 is set to premiere on OTT platform Prime Video on October 1, 2026, bringing back the much-loved characters and quirky world of the fictional village of Dhadakpur. The second season features Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, alongside Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane.
Set against the backdrop of rural India, ‘Dupahiya’ combines small-town charm, innocence, comedy and chaos. The upcoming season promises a fresh set of challenges for the characters, with bigger stakes and situations expected to create more confusion and laughter in Dhadakpur.
The series is directed by Sonam Nair and also stars Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma. The returning cast and new developments will take the story forward while retaining the show’s focus on everyday situations, relationships and the dreams of its characters.
Creators and Executive Producers Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani said that ‘Dupahiya’ has remained a story close to their hearts. According to them, although the series is set in rural India, its central theme revolves around big dreams meeting everyday chaos and finding unexpected humour in those circumstances.
The creators also reflected on the response received by the first season from audiences across the world. They said the reception encouraged the team to continue the story with newer challenges and bigger stakes for the characters that viewers have come to know.
The second season is expected to retain the balance between comedy and emotional storytelling that the creators associate with the series. Joshi and Shivdasani said the upcoming season will feature humorous situations along with heartwarming and emotional moments.
The creators also expressed their appreciation for Prime Video for supporting the series and providing the platform to expand the world established in the first season. They said the response to the debut season was meaningful to the team and expressed hope that the second season will connect with viewers when it premieres.
‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 has been created and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP. The series has been created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg.

With Dinesh Lal Yadav, Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane returning to the series, the second season will continue its story in Dhadakpur while introducing new challenges and situations for its characters. The combination of rural setting, comedy and emotional storytelling remains central to the show.
