Shooters linked to the Goldy Brar–Lawrence Bishnoi gang who fired outside actress Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly were killed in a police encounter. The attack was retaliation over religious remarks, raising concerns about celebrity security and organized crime.
In a dramatic turn of events following the shocking gunfire incident outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence, police forces have gunned down the two shooters allegedly involved. The encounter, which took place near Tronica City in Ghaziabad, was the outcome of a high-level joint operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), and Haryana STF.
The two accused, identified as Ravinder from Rohtak, Haryana, and Arun from Sonipat, Haryana, were members of the notorious Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang, a criminal network associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate. Both assailants sustained heavy injuries during the shootout, were taken to a hospital, but were later declared dead.
The Attack Outside Disha Patani’s House
The shooting incident took place in the early hours of September 12, 2025, around 3:45 am, outside Disha Patani’s family home in Bareilly. At the time of the attack, the actress’s father, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagdish Singh Patani, her mother, and her sister Khushboo Patani were present inside the house.
According to officials, the assailants, riding a motorcycle, fired 8–10 rounds of ammunition at the property before fleeing the scene. The attackers reportedly used foreign-made firearms to carry out the assault. CCTV footage captured their movements, and subsequent technical analysis helped authorities trace them to the interstate criminal gang.
Chief Minister’s Swift Intervention
The brazen attack on the Patani residence triggered immediate political and administrative action. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the case and ordered the police to act swiftly and disclose the identities of those responsible. Within hours, the state police, in collaboration with Delhi and Haryana forces, tracked down the suspects.
The recovery from the encounter site included weapons, cartridges, and a motorcycle, further strengthening the case against the duo.
Gang Retaliation and Motive
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Goldy Brar gang, which has a history of targeting high-profile individuals across India and abroad. The gang stated that the firing outside the Patani residence was retaliation for alleged derogatory remarks made by Khushboo Patani against Hindu religious figures Sant Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
This claim ties into the gang’s broader strategy of using religious and personal disputes as justification for violent assaults, further escalating their notoriety.
