Dhinidhi Desinghu Sets National Swimming Record in 400m Freestyle at Asian Youth Games

In swimming, India’s Dhinidhi Desinghu has set a new national record in the 400 metre freestyle at the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain yesterday. Dhinidhi clocked 4 minutes 21.86 seconds to finish fifth in the final, bettering her own record of 4 minutes 24.60 seconds. In the same event, compatriot Aditi Satish Hegde finished seventh with a time of 4 minutes 32.00 seconds. 
 
 
Among the boys in the Freestyle final event, Nitishsai Harinath finished fifth in the 50 metre category with a time of 23.72 seconds. Swimming in the 400 metre, Dhakshan Shashikumar finished seventh with 4 minutes 00.87 seconds. In the 100 metre butterfly, Vedant Tandale touched in seventh spot with a time of 56.31 seconds.
