Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday referred to the achievements of Dhalai district in increasing the institutional delivery. The Prime Minister was interacting with the District Magistrates of 142 Aspirational districts of the country.

In his video conference interactions Modi referred to Dhalai’s success in improving the institutional delivery from 40-45 percent to 90 percent.

Mentioning other such achievements in the country, he said, “in all these success stories, there are many new things to be learned for the administration of the whole country, there are also many new lessons”.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with other Chief Ministers attended the Video Conference. Deb said, “The PM reviewed the performance of various ongoing projects & directed the officials to achieve the saturation of schemes at mission mode in collaboration with all stakeholders”. Principal secretary JK Sinha also attended the Video conference today.

The DMs shared their experience which has led to improvement of the performance of their districts on a host of indicators. The Prime Minister sought direct feedback from them about the key steps taken by them which has resulted in success in the districts, and about the challenges faced by them in this endeavour. He also asked them about how working under the aspirational districts programme has been different from their work done earlier.
