Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory in view of T

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory in view of the T-20 World Cup match between South Africa and Zimbabwe to be held today at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The match will be played from 3 PM to 10 PM. According to the advisory, certain traffic restrictions are imposed in and around the stadium for the convenience of general public and security reasons.
 
Delhi Traffic Police said that there will be diversion or restriction on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg on need basis and no heavy vehicles will be allowed on the roads, from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. Police has also advised commuters to avoid Rajghat, Delhi Gate, Asaf Ali Road, Turkman Gate, and Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk roads from 12 noon till 10 PM. Commuters travelling from New Delhi Railway Station are also advised to plan their travel in advance keeping in mind heavy traffic on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and ITO Chowk.
