The Budget Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly has begun today. Ahead of the commencement of the five-day Budget session, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta with ministers Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra and others participated in the Kheer ceremony. The Delhi Chief Minister tabled the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on the Functioning of Delhi Transport Commission – DTC in the house today.

During question hour, MLAs of the ruling party and opposition discussed important issues related to the city’s development including Electricity supply, Availability and response time of Ambulance, Ventilators and ICU wards available in Delhi’s hospital.

Later, opposition MLAs questioned the Mahila Samridhi Yojana and demanded clarification about the registration process of the scheme. They also demanded to discuss this issue but the State Assembly speaker Vijender Gupta did not allow them. Following this, all opposition leaders walked out of the house.

Leader of opposition in the house and Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Atishi alleged that the rulling party do not want to discuss on the scheme which the BJP promised in its manifesto for the Delhi Assembly Election this year.
