Cyber fraudsters seem to have a got field day and making the important persons of the state, especially the ministers their victim one after another. The conmen’s modus operandi being almost same opening up fake whatsapp etc account in the name of the targeted VIP and then demand money.

Some years ago the Blavk Hats attacked the then MP  and CPM leader Jitendra Choudhury. Now their victim was ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury. After the ICA minister hackers targeted Tourism minister Pranajit Singh Roy..

The cyber criminals opened a fake whatsapp profile in the name of Pranajit Singha Roy with his picture for financial frauds.

Chowdhury first brought the issue to limelight on Wednesday. Both the ministers shared details with police and lodged complaints.

They suspected that the attempt was a deep-rooted conspiracy to defame them.

9544128112 was the number used in the fake Whatsapp account after the name of Sushanta Chowdhury while another number 8368248113 was used for Pranajit SIngha Roy’s fake profile.

Both the ministers shared the issue on their official social media handles and asked the people to stay alert of any such incident. They demanded a probe into the incident and action against the culprits.

According to police sources, the investigation into the incidents is in progress. Police are expecting a lead very soon.
