Indian boxer Preeti Pawar advanced to the women’s 54kg final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games with a dominant unanimous 5-0 victory over Zambia’s Catherine Mwape in Glasgow today. The win guarantees India at least a silver medal, with Preeti now set to compete for gold. Preeti dominated the contest from the opening round, displaying sharp combinations and excellent footwork. She will face Canada’s Scarlett Delgado in the final tomorrow. India have won 17 medals so far at the Commonwealth Games 2026, comprising three gold, nine silver and five bronze.
