

The culture of the North-East has a colorful tradition. We are proud of this tradition. Our Ashtalakshmi language culture is different, but we complement each other.
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy said this while inaugurating the 4-day-long 7th Northeast Youth Festival 2024 at Purbasha Urban Hat premises on Tuesday. Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noatia and Legislative Chief Constable MLA Kalyani Saha Roy were present as guests of honor in the inauguration ceremony.
Inaugurating the festival, Sports Minister Tinku Roy highlighted the achievements of sports, literature, and culture in the North-East and said that during the previous central government, every citizen of the North-East, starting from the youth, was deprived of various developments.
At present, the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given special importance to the progress of the North Eastern region. He congratulated the participants of the 4-day youth festival and wished them a bright future.
Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noatia also wished success to everyone participating in the 4-day-long Northeast Youth Festival. He congratulated everyone and urged them to enjoy the festival.
Union Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry Director Banita Sod and Assembly Government Chief Constable MLA Kalyani Saha Roy, among others, spoke on the occasion. A welcome speech was given by the Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department. PK Chakraborty. Youth Affairs and Sports Department Director Satyabrata Nath presided over the event. The main themes of the 7th Northeast Youth Festival are ‘Unlocking the Potential of the Youth (Power of the Youth) in North-East India’ and ‘Amar Bharat Bhakti Bharat’.
After the inauguration ceremony, Sports Minister Tinku Roy and Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, along with other guests, inaugurated various exhibition stalls of Yuvakriti at Purbasha Urban Hat and visited the stalls.
Padma Shri Deepa Karmakar was present on the occasion. Youth artists from eight states, including Tripura, presented mesmerizing cultural programs on the occasion. The Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat, and Devak Bharat theme dances were performed.
