The election machinery of Maharashtra is fully geared up and prepared for the counting of votes today for the legislative assembly elections. Polling for the 288-member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly took place on 20th November.

The counting for the lone by-election in the Nanded Lok Sabha constituency is also scheduled today. The counting of votes will commence at 8:00 AM at all designated centres.

Postal ballots will be counted first, followed by votes cast on EVMs, which will begin at 8:30 AM. A total of 288 counting centres have been set up across the state for the assembly elections, with a separate centre established for the Nanded Lok Sabha constituency.

Additionally, 288 observers have been deployed to oversee the assembly vote counting, while two observers will supervise the counting process for the Nanded Lok Sabha seat.

Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and orderly counting process. Central, state, and local security forces are stationed at the counting centres. All necessary measures have been taken as Maharashtra’s election season nears its conclusion with the announcement of the results.
