Amidst speculations and rumours, the Tripura Pradesh Congress has officially confirmed that they are in communication with the offices of senior Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi.
While the dates for their visit to Tripura are yet to be finalised, the party president, Ashish Kumar Saha, has emphasised that there is no uncertainty regarding their imminent presence in the state.
Addressing reporters at the Congress Bhavan, Saha clarified the situation and put an end to the confusion surrounding the visit of Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi. He stated, “Pradesh Congress leaders, members, and activists are diligently working at the booth level across the entire state to strengthen the party organisation ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
Saha highlighted the regular meetings and ongoing efforts to inspect the progress of the party’s organisational work, emphasising that future plans are consistently being devised.
Responding to questions about the much-awaited visit of Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi, Saha ruled out any uncertainty. He stated, “The elections in four states have recently concluded, and while the dates have not been finalised, there is no doubt about their visit to Tripura.”
The TPCC president further emphasised the robust organisation of the party in the state, dismissing any doubts about the visit of senior leaders. He stated, “With a well-established party infrastructure, there is no room for uncertainty regarding the visit of our esteemed leaders.”
Saha further shared that senior state leaders of Congress are actively touring various places in the state, engaging with party functionaries on a regular basis. The Pradesh Congress aims to reinforce its presence and build a strong foundation in Tripura, gearing up for the upcoming political challenges.
