In Badminton, India’s Lakshya Sen will take on Li Shifeng of China in the Men’s Singles final of the Hong Kong Open Super 500 tournament this morning. Star Indian shuttler Lakshya triumphed over Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei 23-21, 22-20 in the semifinal yesterday. Li Shifeng defeated Christo Popov of France 21-18, 21-19 in the other last four clash. The Commonwealth Games champion last triumphed in a Super 500 tournament at the Canada Open in July 2023.
Star Indian Men’s Double pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will face Chinese combination of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in the final this afternoon. The world No. 9 duo beat Chinese Taipei’s Bing-Wei Lin and Chen Cheng Kuan 21-17, 21-15 in the semi-final.
