Tripura has recommended 14 police officers for the Chief Minister’s Medal ahead of Independence Day, honouring excellence in intelligence, law and order, counter-insurgency, cybercrime investigation, anti-narcotics operations, and more.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP Crime & Intl.) Krishnendu Chakravertty among 14 police officers have been recommended for Chief Minister’s Medals ahead of Independence Day.
Chakravertty has been nominated for the honour in the field of Intelligence collection.
Kanta Jangir, SP (Unakoti) Now SP (Traffic), has been recommended in the field of Law & Order handling in extremely difficult situations.
Jeremia Darlong, Addl. SP, North Tripura, now Unakoti Dist, has been nominated in the field of Anti Insurgency Operation and Law & Order.
The list also included Nirdesh Deb, Addl. SP, Cyber Crime, TPCB, who has been nominated for the medal in the category of Complex Cyber Crime Investigation.
Sougat Chakma, SDPO Gandacherra, Dhalai District, will get the medal in the field of Anti Narcotics Operations.

TSR (Use of Innovative methods in police training), Debajit Bhattacharjee, Sub-Inspector (UB), SB Orgn (Intelligence Collection), Sankar Rudra Pal, Sub-Inspector(AB), KTDS PTA (Use of Innovative methods in Police Training), Rakesh Debbarma, Nb/Sub (GD), 13th Bn TSR (Armed Battalion Operation) Mouchaity Debnath, W/C- 2233 West District (Sports achievements in national standard events), Suman Ulla Kazi, Inspector (UB), SB Orgn (Investigation in sensational/heinous cases) and Madhabi Debbarma, W/Inspector (UB), Gomati District (Investigation in sensational / heinous cases).
