Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday inspected Tripura’s first Dental College as the academic activities are expected to commence from September 1st.

Following his inspection of the Dental College located within IGM Hospital, Dr. Saha announced that the admission process for the state’s inaugural Dental College has already commenced.

“The classes are expected to begin on September 1st. Approximately 23 students have already enrolled, with the majority hailing from Tripura. This admission process will continue. However, in accordance with the regulations set by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the classes can formally commence once the Government of India grants permission to the state government. Consequently, I have instructed the health secretary to write a letter seeking this confirmation,” said Dr Saha.

Dr. Saha further expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing preparations as the commencement of classes draws near.

“Having personally inspected the ongoing efforts, I am greatly satisfied with the progress. I extend my gratitude to everyone involved in establishing this college in a very short span of time. Despite the tight timeline, their efforts have been exceptional. The college was inaugurated by the Prime Minister and has exceeded our expectations,” Dr. Saha addled.
