
The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, held a comprehensive meeting with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) on Tuesday. During the meeting, Dr. Saha issued instructions for the timely completion of all ongoing projects and emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in the works.
The meeting, held at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, focused on reviewing the status of various projects, including the construction of buildings, roads, and bridges. Dr. Saha highlighted the need for incorporating modern technology in construction works and commended the significant role played by engineers in the overall development efforts.
Addressing the officials, the Chief Minister asserted that the state government would not compromise on the quality of development projects. Any issues encountered during the implementation of these projects should be promptly resolved through discussions, as emphasized by Dr. Saha during the review meeting.
The meeting delved into detailed discussions on the achievements, progress, and new initiatives related to the construction of roads, bridges, and buildings under the purview of the PWD. Additionally, various works carried out by different PWD circles were also scrutinized.
Key officials present in the review meeting included Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary to PWD Abhishek Singh, Chief Engineer (Road and Bridge) Rajib Debbarma, Chief Engineer (NH) Amit Das, Chief Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) Bimal Das, and OSD to Chief Minister Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee, among others.
