State government has attached highest priority to income generation of the indigenous people of the state along with ensuring overall development in the rural areas.

While inaugurating a 24×7 service of Health and Wellness Centre of the Primary Health Centre at Hezamara Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb one of the most important components of income generation of the indigenous people was proper utilization of forest resources.

“A plan has already been afoot to create income scopes with forest wealth for the indigenous people”, the Chief Minister said and added that some other basic sectors like food, education, health, drinking water, electricity etc were also given priorities.

For health infrastructure development government is contemplating judicious decentralization of healthcare facilities.

“One of the significant characters of the present government is that people did not have to waste time in party offices or at the doors of local level people’s representatives. It is now the administration itself that goes to the last man of the society with the benefits of various schemes”, he maintained..

The 10-bed Primary Health Centre functioning under Hezamara block covers the people of six sub health centres and six ADC villages.

MLA Brishaketu Debbarma, MDC Rabindra Debbarma, District Magistrate, Westtripura- Debapriya Bardhan and Director of Family Welfare Dr. Radha Debbarma were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
