In a media interaction held today, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha presented a comprehensive account of the achievements made during the nine-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. He emphasized that the Modi regime had focused on “seva, sushashan, and garib kalyan” (service, good governance, and welfare of the poor), resulting in a significant transformation in the Northeast region of India.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state government’s own accomplishments, including the ongoing development roadmap called “Lakshya 2047,” aimed at addressing administrative challenges and setting development goals in various sectors.
Dr. Saha listed several achievements in infrastructure, connectivity, public healthcare, education, women welfare, and welfare schemes such as the Atal Jal Dhara Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. He commended the Modi government’s commitment to inclusive development without discrimination, where the poor were viewed as equal contributors to the nation’s progress.
The Chief Minister further praised PM Modi’s efforts in providing free COVID-19 vaccines to millions of beneficiaries and ensuring affordable medicines through Jan Aushadi Kendras. He stated that Tripura’s government had successfully administered vaccine doses and planned to expand the Jan Aushadi network within the state.
Dr. Saha also highlighted the government’s support for farmers, including no hike in fertilizer prices, doubling of farmers’ income, and benefits under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. He mentioned other initiatives like reservation for economically weaker sections, infrastructure development projects, and the focus on national security.
The media interaction was attended by BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder. They announced a month-long series of events, starting from May 30, to mark the completion of nine years of PM Modi’s rule, aiming to raise awareness about the government’s achievements.
