Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday hit out at the Trinamool Congress leaders from West Bengal in an oblique reference saying that they had embarked on hatching up a political conspiracy to create an environment of uncertainty in Tripura.
The Chief Minister said Tripura was on the fast track of development and made its presence felt at national level. In the past deserving people were deprived of government facilities on political considerations and vindictiveness, but now an inclusive development policies are working taking all by the side and extending benefits of welfare schemes to all without seeing any colour , political or otherwise.
Addressing an Agricultural loan delivery camp, Deb said, “our goal is to build Atmanirbhar Tripura through socio-economic development of citizens by generating employment to every household.”
In another note, Deb also claimed that no one died of starvation in the state following the timely decision of the government in Covid pandemic management.
“ Now, some parties were trying to stop the wheel of development in the state”, he said.
The Chief Minister’s statement though indirect assumed significance as there were violence recently since the Trinamool Congress leaders started arriving in the state to make a foray into the political milieu here. Interestingly, they have also got a tacit support from opposition CPM which felt the Trinamool Congress was being subjected to assaults by BJP workers.
The Chief Minister also on Sunday attended a special at Jirania sub-division where equipment for farming, assistance for fisheries and animal husbandry and Kisan Credit Cards were distributed among the farmers.
