Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday said that the people of the state have confidence in the present government and keeping in mind the principle of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas,” the government is ensuring that central and state government projects reach at the grassroots level.
“There is an atmosphere of peace prevailing in the state now. The current government has given top priority to the overall welfare of the people,” said Dr. Saha.
He said this while attending a cloth distribution program and felicitation ceremony for students at Rajghat, Melaghar, Sepahijala District.
During the event, Dr. Saha also praised the social work of the ‘Rudrasagar Udbastu Fishermen Cooperative Society’.
“As human beings, we all have a duty towards society. It is a great responsibility to stand by distressed people. I hope we will continue this kind of social service work in the future,” he added.
Cooperatives Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, MLA Kishore Barman, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Dutta, and other distinguished guests were also present at the event.
The Chief Minister, along with other guests, distributed clothes to approximately two thousand families in the area. In addition, 50 meritorious students who passed this year’s secondary and higher secondary examinations were felicitated.
