Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb called upon the newly elected councillors for building a smooth relation with the people and work for the welfare of society with utmost dedication.
While interacting with the new councillors of Dharmanagar Municipal Council at the civil secretariat on Thursday, he suggested the councillors to build faith among the people through sincere work in their respective areas.
Deb asked them to maintain good relations with the senior citizens of the area as well as take advice from them.
The Chief Minister stressed making the women aged above 25 years self-employed apart from regular works they do.
Besides, he also asked councillors to identify the talented youth of their respective areas and encourage them for earning income through their creativities.
Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative assembly Biswabandu Sen also had interactions with the new councillors.
