Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the importance of safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty during the Har Ghar Tricolor Abhiyan program at Albert Ekka Park in Lichubagan, Agartala, today. The event, part of a nationwide campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, aims to foster patriotism among the younger generation while paying tribute to the nation’s martyrs.
In his address, Chief Minister Saha underscored the collective responsibility to protect the country’s sovereignty. He began the program by paying homage to the fallen heroes, placing wreaths at the Albert Ekka Memorial. Distinguished attendees included former MLA Dilip Kumar Das, philanthropist Rajeev Bhattacharya, and local leaders Bipin Debvarma and Mukul Chandra Roy.
Dr. Saha highlighted the significance of remembering the sacrifices made by martyrs like Shaheed Albert Ekka, whose selflessness serves as a guiding example for future generations. He also spoke about the state government’s initiatives, including the ’75 Border Villages, Kranti Veero Ke Naam’ and ‘Mera Mati, Mera Desh’ programs, which honor the bravery of those who have laid down their lives for the nation.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing the state through improvements in health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and communication, driven by a deep sense of patriotism and national unity.
