China issues orange alert for Typhoon Matmo

China’s national observatory has issued an orange alert for Typhoon Matmo as it strengthens and heads towards the country’s southern coast.
According to the National Meteorological Centre, the storm was moving northwest at 25 to 30 kilometer per hour. It is forecast to make landfall tomorrow between Dianbai in Guangdong Province and Wanning in Hainan Province.
Typhoon Matmo has already triggered a Level-4 emergency response in Guangdong and Hainan provinces.
