Seven Maoists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh today. The encounter took place in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district this afternoon. The exchange of fire took place when a joint team of Narayanpur and Dantewada district police was conducting a search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of Maoists in the area.
Police personnel have recovered the bodies of the killed Maoists from the spot. Apart from this, AK-47s and self-loading rifles along with many other weapons have also been recovered from the spot. The search operation is still going on in the area.
