New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday alleged the BJP government at the Centre and AAP government in Delhi are not serious about womens safety, and demanded justice for the Kanjhawala victim.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Congress spokesperson Alka Lamba said, The BJP-led Centre and the AAP-led Delhi government have failed to provide security to women despite incidents of atrocities against women happening in Delhi every day.

Both the governments are not serious about womens safety in the national capital, she alleged.

Referring to the Kanjhawala case, the former MLA said, Justice should be ensured within three months to the girl who was dragged for 12 kms.

According to a statement issued by the Delhi Police on Tuesday, the autopsy report of the deceased girl who died after her scooty was reportedly hit and dragged by a car has stated that the cause of death is shock and hemorrhage as a result of antemortem injury to the head, spine, left femur and both lower limbs.

The Congress spokesperson further said that the political parties which had demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister, Home Minister and Prime Minister at the time of the Nirbhaya incident are in power today and have forgotten their responsibilities.
