A central team would soon visit Tripura in view of the flood crisis; Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday.
The Chief Minister spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him about the latest situation arising out of the unprecedented flood in the State.
“He assured of the continued all out support to the State Government. He also informed that the Union Government would be sending a team to Tripura immediately to take stock of the situation. Grateful to Hon’ble Home Minister for his instantly coming to the aid of the people of Tripura in this hour of crisis,” Dr. Saha wrote on social media.
The Chief Minister also had a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the flood and its impact. According to Dr. Saha, the Prime Minister assured full support to the people of Tripura in this hour of crisis.
He made this announcement soon after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav declared Rs. 20-crore assistance for Tripura and Kerala each in view of natural calamity.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also declared a Rs. 10-crore assistance for flood-hit Tripura.
The Chief Minister conveyed gratitude to both the states- Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for this support to the people of Tripura in this hour of crisis.
